It’s almost Daylight Savings, but how much longer will it last? In the video published on Nov 4, 2022, by 9NEWS, as “How much longer will Daylight Saving Time last?” below:
This weekend, nearly all of us will set our clocks back one hour. It’s part of the twice-a-year ritual of alternating between daylight saving time and standard time. William Brangham looks at the history of changing the clock and a movement to do away with this process, once and for all. Editor’s Note: This report contained an error in that it misspelled Senator Patty Murray (D-Washington) name in the lower third font. We apologize for the mistake, in the video published on Nov 3, 2022, by PBS NewsHour, as “The history of daylight saving time and its effect on our health“, below:
Spring back, fall forward, but why are we still adjusting our clocks every year? Find out why Daylight Savings Time happens every year, and why some countries choose to not turn their clocks at all! In the video published on May 15, 2022, by The Infographics Show, as “Real Reason Why We Use Daylight Savings Time“, below:
We’ll turn our clocks back this weekend. Some people prefer later sunsets, but doctors say a permanent Daylight Saving Time could be good for our health. We’ll turn back the clocks this weekend. At 2 a.m. Sunday, we fall back an hour. That means sunrise and sunset will be an hour earlier, and the change often impacts a person’s sleep cycle. Neurologist and sleep specialist Dr. Chris Winter says while 8 hours tend to be the average amount of sleep adults need, you should pay attention to your own response to rest to find what’s best for you. See how you function off more or fewer hours of rest. He suggests, “really looking at the amount of sleep you get, and then the way you function and get through your day. Are you someone who struggles to get through a day without napping?” When it comes to falling asleep, Dr. Winter says to start by creating a good environment for rest, “a comfortable bedroom, a dark, quiet, cool environment. Getting the clutter out, the bills and the paperwork, unfolded laundry out of your bedroom. Let it accumulate somewhere else in your house.” in the video published on Nov 4, 2022, by WCNC, as “The health benefits of permanent Daylight Saving Time“, below:

The bipartisan bill, named the Sunshine Protection Act, would ensure Americans would no longer have to change their clocks twice a year. But the bill still needs approval from the House, and the signature of President Biden, to become law, in the video published on March 16, 2022, by Newsy, as “Senate Approves Bill To Make Daylight Saving Time Permanent“, below:
H.R.69 – Sunshine Protection Act of 2021
S.623 – Sunshine Protection Act of 2021
The Senate has passed a bill to make daylight saving time permanent. If the House also passes the bill and the president signs it, the change would take effect in November 2023. Dr. Kin Yuen joins CBS News Lana Zak to discuss the potential health impacts of the switch, in the video published on March 19, 222, by CBS News, as “Senate passes bill to make daylight saving time permanent“, below:
