Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suspended his independent presidential campaign in August 2024, citing several reasons. He expressed that he no longer saw a realistic path to victory due to what he described as systematic media censorship and legal challenges, particularly from the Democratic National Committee (DNC). Kennedy also criticized the DNC for running what he called a “sham primary” and waging legal warfare to keep him off the ballot in key states. Despite suspending his campaign, he endorsed former President Donald Trump for the 2024 election.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made his much-anticipated announcement Friday that he was dropping out of the 2024 race for the White House – and said in a Pennsylvania court filing that he will endorse former President Donald Trump. Kennedy, 70, made the announcement just days after speculation started swirling that he planned to axe his campaign and endorse former President Donald Trump instead.
