These efforts are part of the “Moving Florida Forward” initiative, which will expedite over 20 major road projects with a $7 billion investment over the next four years.
Key components of the plan include:

I-4 Corridor Enhancements: The addition of new lanes and widening of nearly 15 miles of highway at ChampionsGate and World Drive in Polk and Osceola counties, with some projects expected to be completed by 2025 instead of the originally planned 2030.

Widespread Infrastructure Investment: For the upcoming year, the state is investing over $14.5 billion into 946 current and future construction projects, which include:
- $5.2 billion for new highways, adding 140 new lane miles.
- $1.8 billion for resurfacing roadways and filling potholes.
- $382 million for repairing 72 bridges and replacing another 15.
