On the 63rd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion, April 17, 2024, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law, SB 1264, for Florida public schools to educate students on the history of communism as part of the mandatory curriculum for k-12 education, before students arrive at colleges or universities. Perhaps other 49 states would consider to also do the same.
SB 1264: History of Communism; Requiring instruction in public schools on the history of communism; creating the Institute for Freedom in the Americas at Miami Dade College; renaming the Adam Smith Center for the Study of Economic Freedom as the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom; requiring the Department of State, in collaboration with the Department of Education, to consult with stakeholders to provide a recommendation to the Legislature by a specified date for the creation of a museum of the history of communism, etc.
