U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) introduced the Equal Representation Act, legislation to ensure that only legal citizens are factored into the count for Congressional districts and the Electoral College map that determines presidential elections. This bill seeks to exclude non-citizens from being considered in these counts, arguing that their inclusion skews representation and encourages illegal immigration. The legislation requires a citizenship question on future censuses and mandates that only citizens be counted for apportionment purposes. For more details, you can visit the source here. The current method of counting illegal immigrants for purposes of representation serves as an incentive for open borders to boost the relative political power of the states and voters that court it.
