Recently, I’ve come across a recently published book, Mao’s America: A Survivor’s Warning, by Xi Van Fleet, Ava Wong, et al. The author Xi Van Fleet is an immigrant from China who lived through Mao’s Marxist Cultural Revolution as a child. Xi pushed back against Critical Race Theory (CRT) at a heated Loudun County (of Virginia) School Board meeting last summer and became an accidental activist, “I’ve been very alarmed by what’s going on in our schools…You are now teaching, training our children to be social justice warriors and to loathe our country and our history. Growing up in China, all of this sounds very familiar. The communist regime used the same critical theory to divided people. The only difference is that (they) used class instead of race. This is indeed the American version of the Chinese cultural revolution. The critical race theory has its roots in cultural Marxism.
