There will be much tax credits, as a result of the Inflation Reduction Act, to look forward to in the 2023!
Inflation Reduction Act is the largest investment in climate in the history of the United States. At the center of the U.S. climate policy and strategy is to decarbonize and electrify U.S. households, therefore much of the Inflation Reduction Act contains incentives of various types to assist households, in the coming decades, to transition from a fossil fuel baseline to an energy efficient electric baseline. Through this transition toward electrification, average U.S. households would be able to expect to save money, on the average of $1,800 per year.

As indicated in the video above, there are tax credits and/or local rebates associated with: rooftop solar, battery storage, geothermal, heat pump water heater, air source heat pump, heat pumps, home insulation for windows and doors, home energy audits, heat pump clothes dryer and electric stove, upgraded electric wiring, updated breaker box, etc.
The Inflation Reduction Act contains many incentives to go green as the legislation includes thousands of dollars in tax credits and rebates that cover purchases like electric vehicles, solar panels, or other energy-efficient upgrades to homes. NBC News’ Joshua Johnson sits down with Ibrahim AlHusseini, founder of an investment firm that helps climate-critical infrastructure technology to discuss who may be eligible for these incentives, in the video published on Sep 21, 2022, by NBC News, as “Inflation Reduction Act: Who Qualifies For Tax Credits And Rebates“, below:

The IRS released 8 Teslas that qualify for the EV Tax Credit with the price caps that must be met to receive the credit. Many Model 3 and Model Y prospective buyers have been wondering when to buy their Tesla and whether to wait until 2023 to get a maximum of $7,500 tax credit which would be realized in 2024 for 2023 tax returns. Now, just yesterday the IRS released that the Model 3 and Model Y (5 seat and 7 seat variants) will qualify pending a March 2023 update where more information on the Battery Sourcing will be released from the IRS. Some confusion has begun, as the IRS lists the 7 seat Model Y configuration as a SUV, thus having a $80,000 price cap requirement but also lists the Model Y 5 seat configuration as a “sedan”, having a $50,000 price cap. To add to the confusion the IRS list of 8 Teslas includes a Model Y Performance 7 Seat variant but, Tesla does not make this configuration, yet. We talk about all of these updates in detail in this video. Make sure to subscribe as I’m hoping to grow to 10,000 subscribers within 12 months.
