Discovery Of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider
Dear Friends & Neighbors,

An example of simulated data modeled for the CMS particle detector on the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. Here, following a collision of two protons, a Higgs boson is produced which decays into two jets of hadrons and two electrons. The lines represent the possible paths of particles produced by the proton-proton collision in the detector while the energy these particles deposit is shown in blue. For our friends in particle physics or with interests in CERN’s Hadron Collider, below:
All over the globe, scientists couldn’t contain their glee at the start-up of the nation’s most cutting-edge high-energy particle accelerator. They waited years for this day, while this incredible technology would ultimately change the way we see the cosmos. Finally, in September 2008, following a torturously long construction phase, the European Organization for Nuclear Research’s Large Hadron Collider began operations. Although it took the system’s creators a while to get the collider just right, the Large Hadron Collider has subsequently helped scientists and researchers solve several cosmic secrets through its many experiments. However, researchers at CERN recently revealed that perhaps new maximum beam energy for the Large Hadron Collider revealed some disturbing results. Since then, they’ve been attempting to speculate on what led to this, yet all they have are speculations that could be wrong. Watch till the end to get all of your questions answered!
