This post is in response to our Florida readers’ concern regarding Florida abortion laws, below:
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis praised the Supreme Court’s ruling overturning Roe v. Wade Friday, promising he would now work to expand the state’s restrictions on abortion access to protect unborn children, in the video published on June 24, 2022, “Florida governor promises expansions to Florida abortion laws“, below:
Currently Florida bans abortion after 24th week of pregnancy. As of the coming Friday, July 1, 2022, Florida law would no longer permit abortion after 15th week of pregnancy, unless there are fetal abnormalities or mother’s life at risk. There are no exceptions for rape, incest, or human trafficking.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said, “Florida will continue to defend its recently-enacted pro-life reforms, against state court challenges, will work to expand pro-life protections, and will stand for life by promoting adoption, foster care, and child welfare.”
Disney and Comcast will help pay for travel expenses if employees seek abortion out of state.
