On Monday, March 28, 2022, the Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the controversial Parental Rights In Education bill (also referred to as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill by its critics). The bill bans classroom instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity from kindergarten through third grade and bans any instruction that is considered as not age appropriate for any primary school level.
