Just received a message from Florida State Representative, Daisy Morales, reminding us that HR 8069 recognizing April 2, 2022, as “Puerto Rican Heritage Day” in Florida! Please refer to HR 8069 by clicking HERE.
Representative Morales, a person of Puerto Rican descent and the highest elected Puerto Rican woman in Florida, said, “April 2, 2022 marks the 509th anniversary of the founding of Florida by Puerto Rican ancestors and the beginning of their contributions to the state.”
Florida State Representative Daisy Morales makes history by officially designating April 2, 2022 as “Puerto Rican Heritage Day” in Florida. She will host the inaugural ceremony on April 2, 2022, in Orlando, FL.
