It is with a heavy heart for me to receive and report this news: Russia has invaded Ukraine on Tuesday, February 22, 2022! This all felt like a deja vu and a prelude to WWII, a rerun of the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, the German annexation of the Sudetenland in 1938…Putin had essentially taken a page out of the playbook of Adolf Hitler. Russian President Vladimir Putin recognized the independence of two separatist regions in eastern Ukraine, and the U.S. responded by putting limited sanctions on the Russian-backed separatists, in the video published on Feb 21, 2022, “Major escalation in tension between Ukraine and Russia | WNT” below:

FRANCE 24 spoke to Sir John Sawers, the former head of Britain’s secret intelligence service. Sawers, who headed the MI6 between 2009 and 2014, said that if Russia’s President Vladimir Putin decides to take military action against Ukraine, it would be in his interest to limit an invasion to eastern Ukraine. But, he cautioned: “There is no doubt that Russia has the capability to carry out a full invasion, take over Kiev, and install a puppet regime.” in the video published on Feb 21, 2022, “‘Russia has the capability to topple Kiev’s government’, former MI6 chief Sir John Sawers says“, below:
“Peacekeepers is obviously a euphemism and a lie—So we’re going to observe what they actually do, not just what they say,” says Jon Finer, White House Deputy National Security Advisor, in the video published on Feb 21, 2022, “U.S. Official On Putin’s ‘Peace-Keeping’ Forces: ‘A Euphemism And A Lie’“, below:
Fareed Zakaria gives his take on why it would be wise for the U.S. to divide Russia and China rather than unite them, in the video published on Feb 20, 2022, “Fareed Zakaria says the US has made a strategic error with Russia“, below:

How the West will respond undoubtedly will determine not only whether democracy will survive in Ukraine, but the future of democracy on planet earth. Speed is of the essence!
