On Friday, February 4, 2022, police investigated two bomb threats at two different schools in Brevard County: Cocoa High School and West Shore Junior/Senior High School of Melbourne. Bomb squad k9’s was sent to sweep the Cocoa High School while students were evacuated to the football field. Apparently, a student’s parent made the bomb threat. So students resumed classes after the threat was determined to be unfounded. Department of Education data had shown that there were 37 major school disruptions in Brevard County Public Schools during 2021, with Cocoa High being responsible for 8 of the 37 disruptions, in the video published on Feb 4, 2022, “Police investigate bomb threats at two Brevard County schools“, below:
