Ultimately, it is the herd immunity that would help to protect the overall population group. The herd immunity may be obtained via immunity developed through vaccination as well as natural immunity through exposures. Omicron variant of COVID-19 may be accelerating our transition toward the endemic state. It is perhaps time to phase out the requirement for vaccine passports. Time for us all to learn to live with COVID in the same way that we’ve learned to live with flu.
