Governor DeSantis is vowing to protect the rights of Floridians. He said that he is willing to go through the court as well as law makers to get that done, calling the Florida legislators back for a special session. Florida Governor DeSantis is naming a series of legal actions to fight vaccine requirement and protect state employees who may not want the COVID vaccine. During the special session, Governor DeSantis will be challenging the threats to medicare and medicaid funding to those who are not vaccinated. He also wants Florida legislators to provide protection for employees who are facing terminations due to vaccine mandate. Governor DeSantis also wants to hold businesses accountable if an employee has a medical reaction from the vaccine. The special session will be held in November, 2021 and the regular session will begin in January, 2022.
