NASA warns that Hazardous Asteroid is closing in on Earth on Fall Equinox (12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of night) 2021, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. An asteroid that might be three times the size of the Statue of Liberty is flying by Earth. The asteroid 2021 NY1, which might be as wide as 984 feet, will pass our planet at a distance of 93,000 miles, according to NASA’s Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS) at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory,
The asteroid will approach our planet at a speed of roughly six miles per second. That is around 21,000 mph or 27 times the speed of sound. This will be the closest approach to Earth for at least a decade, according to Sky Live, which records asteroids and space objects and their respective orbits. During the Fall Equinox time, the asteroid 2021 NY1 will not be alone in paying Earth a flying visit. The smaller asteroid called 2021 RX9, which is expected to be as big as the Pyramid of Giza (about 128 feet), will fly past our planet on Tuesday (September 21, 2021) at a dizzying speed of 33,000 miles per hour. That’s around 16 times the speed of a rifle bullet. This asteroid, on the other hand, will pass by Earth at a distance of roughly 1.8 million miles. NASA has classified all of these asteroids as Near Earth Objects, or NEOs. Asteroids or comets with orbit within 121 million miles of Earth are classified as NEOs. A space object must also complete an orbit around the Sun in less than 200 years to be classified this way. For now, these asteroids are not going to hit the earth or impact Earth, in the video published on Sep. 22, 2021, “NASA Warns Hazardous Asteroid closing Earth Today on Fall Equinox 2021 NY1“, below:
A giant asteroid called 2021 NY1, which is up to three times the size of the Statue of Liberty, would enter the Earth’s orbit in the coming days. According to NASA, 2021 NY1 would enter the orbit of Earth in September. NASA is tracking this giant rock which has a diameter of 130-300m. It is to be noted that the height of Statue of Liberty is only 93 meters. This asteroid is moving towards earth at a speed of 33659 kmph. But there is a good news that because the asteroid will not collide with Earth as it will pass Earth from a safe 930,487 miles. Notably, moon orbits Earth from a distance of 238,855 miles, in the video published on Sep. 21, 2021, “2021 Ny1 asteroid | Close approach today | Live update of 22 September 2021“, below:
Asteroid 2021NY1 !! 22 September asteroid close approach to earth live !! asteroid 2021 live, in the video published on September 22, 2021, “[Live] Asteroid 2021Ny1 !! 22 September asteroid close approach to earth live !! asteroid 2021 live“, below:
Asteroid 2021 NY1 headed towards the earth. At a speed of around 9.35 kilometre per second. It is set to fly past the Earth on September 22. Asteroid 2021 NY1 is about 300 meters in diameter. Which is size 3 times bigger than the Statue of Liberty. According to NASA. 2021 NY1 as a Potentially Hazardous Asteroid. Also added, there is no need worry about it. It will pass Earth from a safe distance about 930,487 miles. So, the asteroid will not collide with Earth, in the video published on Sep. 21, 2o21, “An Massive Asteroid headed towards the Earth!” below:
