Recall our previous post of 9/15/2021, Inspiration4, First All Private Citizens Human Spaceflight, To Launch On 9/15. 8:02 PM, after three days on-orbit, Dragon and the Inspiration4 crew, the world’s first all-civilian mission to orbit, will return to Earth on September 18, splashing down at approximately 7:06 p.m. EDT in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida, in the video streamed on Sep. 18, 2021, “Inspiration4 | Splashdown“, below:
After lifting off from Cape Canaveral at 8:02 p.m. on Wednesday, the world’s first all-civilian Inspiration4 crew will return back home. They will return from orbit at 7:06 p.m. on Saturday evening at the targeted splashdown location in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Florida. The crew of Inspiration4 gave an on-orbit tour of the SpaceX Dragon Resilience on Sept. 17, 2021. The tour included ultrasound tech, views from the cupola window, artwork created in space by Sian Proctor and Ukulele play by Christopher Sembroski. Inspiration4 flight has already helped to raise $200 million for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, with the team captain and mission commander Jared Isaacman starting off with $100 million contribution. The Inspiration4 team members are:
