“You can already get the Booster shot at Publix Pharmacy.”
It is correct that Publix, CVS, Walgreen are offering COVID-19 Pfizer and Moderna booster shots for people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised, but for general public, the booster shots will be available in September, 2021.

In the video published on Aug. 18, 2021, “Publix, CVS, Walgreens offering 3rd COVID-19 vaccine dose for those with weak immune systems“, below:
Publix grocery chain made the announcement just days after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended its emergency-use authorization for both vaccines to let some people with weaker immune systems get a third shot. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is also recommending the third dose for people who are immunocompromised and has an onlinelist of conditions that make someone eligible for the third dose. This includes anyone undergoing cancer treatment for tumors or blood cancer, has advanced or untreated HIV, or is someone who received an organ transplant and is taking medicine that is suppressing their immune system. The CDC recommends people speak with their doctor about their medical condition to see if they can get a third shot. Anyone eligible for the third dose can schedule an appointment through Publix’s online portal. Walk-ins are also accepted at all Publix stores, including in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties. Kids between 12 and 17 who are immunocompromised will need to have a parent or legal guardian with them.

I am a mother/wife/daughter, math professor, solar advocate, world traveler, yogi, artist, photographer, sharer of knowledge/information, and resident of Windermere, FL. I've worked professionally in applied math, engineering, medical research, and as a university math professor in IL and FL for about 20 years. My husband and I loved Disney and moved down to Central Florida initially as snowbirds. But we've come to love the warmth and friendly people offered by this community and decided to move down to Windermere, FL full time in 2006. I am now spending time sharing information/ knowledge online, promoting understanding of math and solar energy (via http://www.sunisthefuture.net ), and developing Windermere Sun (http://www.WindermereSun.com) as an online publication, sharing and promoting Community ABC's (Activities-Businesses-Collaborations) for healthier/happier/more sustainable living. In the following posts, I'll be sharing with you some of the reasons why Windermere has attracted us to become full-time residents of Central Florida region.
