CNN has obtained explosive revelations about the final days of former President Donald Trump’s term. According to excerpts from an upcoming book by Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, “I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J. Trump’s Catastrophic Final Year“, Ivanka Trump spent hours attempting to convince her father to call off the rioters behind the January 6 Capitol insurrection. In the book, General Mark Milley on preventing an attempted coup, in italics, below:
“They may try, but they’re not going to f**king succeed,” he told them. “You can’t do this without the military. You can’t do this without the CIA and the FBI. We are the guys with the guns.”

In an excerpt from the book, “I Alone Can Fix It”, he (Milley) believed Trump was stoking unrest, possibly in hopes of an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act…Milley told aides he feared this could be the modern American equivalent of ‘brownshirts in the streets.'” Day before January 6, Milley told his aides, “This is a Reichstag moment… The gospel of the Fuhrer.”
In an excerpt from the book, “Frankly, We Did Win This Election“, Trump told Kelly, “Well, Hitler did a lot of good things.” Kelly told Trump, “You cannot ever say anything supportive of Adolf Hitler. You just can’t.”
Trump denies all of these reports. Many people will be going to prison for January 6 insurrection.
