More drugs for COVID had been tested with much promise. Case in point, Dr. Oz has presented how Colchicine (anti-inflammatory), Fluvoxamine (an anti-depressant functions by calming down the cytokines due to COVID-19 virus), and Ivermectin ( an anti-parasitic drug had been able to kill the COVID virus in Petri dish and were found very effective in therapeutic as well as prophylactic treatment against COVID virus in human in various countries outside of U.S.). Ivermectin had proven efficacious in prophylactic treatment of COVID-19 in many other countries so far. What is needed now is more clinical trials using these drugs for treatment of COVID-19 in USA.
Back in November of 2020, there was a massive outbreak at Golden Gate Field race track at Berkeley, California. There were 113 employees at that facility who were offered two weeks of therapy with Fluvoxamine. Of the 65 people who took the drug Fluvoxamine, none of them became seriously ill nor needed to be hospitalized. Of the 48 who did not take Fluvoxamine, 6 became hospitalized, 2 required ICU, and 1 died.
Many countries have found that Ivermectin is very effective both as therapeutic treatment as well as prophylactic prevention for COVID-19.

Ivermectin and the odds of hospitalization due to COVID-19: evidence from a quasi-experimental analysis for public intervention in Mexico City: Mexico City Government decided to expand population-based health interventions in December, 2020, during the increase in COVID-19 cases and critical levels of hospital saturation, using prehospital home-care program, with extensive testings via 230 kiosks. Since December 28, 2020, medical ivermectin kits (containing four 6mg tablets, two pills each day for two days) have been provided to positive mild to moderate symptomatic patients. After one month, 83,000 medical kits delivered. Detailed data was collected on the evolution of patient illnesses. Quasi-experimental evaluation of the effects of the medical kits on hospitalization, based on Control Groups of N=156,468 not receiving the ivermectin kits and Experimental Groups of n=77,381 receiving the ivermectin kits. Results from Mexico City indicates significant difference in hospitalization need between the Control Groups vs. Experimental Groups: those with ivermectin kits were 50% to 76% less likely than the Control Group (those without ivermectin kits) to need hospitalization.
In Peru, principal mechanisms, reduction of viral load, in patients who took ivermectin (IVM) in early stages of the disease, therefore also reduced transmissibility and prevented hospitalizations. The reduction of excess deaths is correlated with extent of IVM distribution by state p<0.002. This strongly suggests that IVM treatments can likewise effectively complement immunization to help eradicate COVID-19.
In India, Uttar Pradesh government, first to have introduced a large-scale “prophylactic and therapeutic” use of Ivermectin. Indian official stated that Ivermectin helped the state to maintain a lower fatality and positivity rate as compared to other states that did not use Ivermectin. Health Department introduced Ivermectin as prophylaxis for close contacts of Covid patients back in August 6, 2020. In Agra district, once Ivermectin administered to all RRT (rapid reaction test) team members in Agra, none of them developed Covid-19, despite being in daily contact with patients with high Covid viral load. Indian official stated, “Despite being the state with the largest population base and a high population density, they have maintained a relatively low positivity rate and cases per million of population. Lower positivity and fatality rates may be attributed to the large scale use of Ivermectin use.” More conclusive papers will come forward in few months.

This meta analysis shows that Ivermectin may reduce COVID-19 deaths by 62% and possibly reduces transmission or infection by 86%. Conclusion, in italics, below:
Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.
Based on these data from Mexico, Peru, Philippines, and India, it does appear as though Ivermectin is efficacious in prophylactic treatment for COVID-19. Perhaps people should be asking their doctors and local and federal government agencies about why Ivermectin is not used to treat or prevent COVID-19 in USA or why there are not more clinical studies in ivermectin, colchicine, and fluvoxamine for treating COVID-19 in USA ?!
