After decades of public denial, the Pentagon now admits that there is something out there. UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon), aka UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) is no longer a question of belief. The United States government is now telling us that there is something out there. The U.S. Senate wants to know what it is. The Intelligence Committee has ordered the Director of National Intelligence and Secretary of Defense to deliver a non-classified report on the mysterious sightings with a detailed analysis of unidentified aerial phenomenon data collected by the Office of Naval Intelligence and the FBI by June 25, 2021.  Bill Whitaker reports on the regular sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena, or UAP, that have spurred a report due to Congress next month, in the video published on May 16, 2021, “Navy pilots describe encounters with UFOs“, below: Commander. But this attitude has changed since a documented incident by radar, camera, and 4 naval aviators in Southern California in November 2004, detecting multiple anomalous aerial vehicles over the horizon, descending over 80,000 feet in less than a second (in the first video above at 8:00) and suddenly disappeared.  The Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) launched at the behest of Senator Harry Reid in 2007, but was revealed in 2017 after Chris Mellon, a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, leaked the classified videos of UFOs to the New York Times.  For many years, UFO sightings were written off as weather balloons, drones or optical illusions. First hand accounts by former pilots, with confirmation by the Pentagon that the videos are real yet unexplained, has brought much media attention and coverage in recent years than ever before. The Pentagon resurrected the investigation of these UFOs through UAP Task Force in August of 2020, encouraging service members to report strange encounters. Now the Senate wants answers. Florida Senator Marco Rubio wants the public to know more of what U.S. military intelligence already knows about UFOs. Rubio was head of the Senate Intelligence Committee when he wrote a provision into the Intelligence Authorization Act requiring the report as part of the $2.3 trillion coronavirus relief and government funding bill that former President Donald Trump signed into law. (Is it possible that those multiple anomalous aerial vehicles were simply mental projections from beings from an alien planet or beings from a different time? That would explain the sudden disappearance of those aerial vehicles.)
