The property in Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, is being offered for sale by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of State Lands through competitive sealed invitation to offer DSL-ITO-21-003.
The location is centrally located along East Memorial Blvd, a major thoroughfare with average daily traffic count of 41,863 vehicles and within the Mid-Town Community Redevelopment District (CRA).

The property is to be sold via sealed invitation to offer “as is, where is.” Offers will be accepted until noon, June 24, 2021. Any offer received after that time will be returned to the offeror unopened. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is not responsible for offers mailed that do not arrive by noon, June 24, 2021. All offers received by the offer submission deadline will be publicly opened at 2 p.m., June 24, 2021.
A minimum acceptable offer of $875,000 has been set by the state, with a deposit in the amount of 10% of the offeror’s offer amount due and included in the prospective buyer’s offer to purchase the property and is further defined in the offer package. Any award made will be to the highest responsive OFFEROR, provided it is in the TRUSTEES’ interest to accept the offer. Any offers less than the minimum acceptable offer will be considered counterproposals and will be deemed non-responsive and rejected. Deposits of buyers who are not the successful buyer of the property will be returned to the offering party. The TRUSTEES or the DEPARTMENT, as staff to the TRUSTEES, reserve the right to reject any or all offers (see Offer Conditions for complete instructions).
