On March 8, 2021, the Russian hockey superstars held a match, aptly named “The Last Game,” on Siberia’s freezing Lake Baikal to raise awareness for climate change. The scientists say that the record rise in temperatures there would be impossible without man-made global warming. This finding is of serious concern because the Arctic drives much of the weather systems in the UK and rest of the Europe, in the video published on July 15, 2020, “New warning over climate change from Siberian Arctic – BBC News“, below: Arctic sea ice is disappearing faster than we originally thought. A recent research published in the Summer of 2020 finds that it’s not just the sea ice but all of the feedback loops in the region that are gaining pace at an alarming rate, including the atmospheric temperature, the heat stored in the oceans, the release of methane from thawing permafrost, and the melting of the Greenland ice sheet, all contribute to the catastrophic climate change being witnessed every where on planet earth, in the video published on September 13, 2020, “Arctic disintegration is worse than we thought“, below: Record breaking heatwaves across the Arctic region  during the summer of 2020 resulted in the lowest ver recorded October sea ice levels.  The persistent warm temperatures caused the thawing of permafrost and sediment on the seabed allowing the release of very high concentrations of methane.
