President-elect Joe Biden painted a grim landscape of the state of the nation’s national security and foreign policy agencies, warning that in the four years that President Trump has been in office, those departments “incurred enormous damage” and have been “hollowed out in personnel, capacity and in morale.” President-elect Joe Biden delivered remarks after meeting with his national security team and criticized the Trump administration for creating “roadblocks” on information he believes would ensure national safety amid the transition. President-elect Joe Biden accused loyalists to President Donald Trump at national security agencies of throwing up roadblocks to a smooth presidential transition at a news conference on Monday, December 28, 2020. “For some agencies our teams received exemplary cooperation from the career staff in those agencies.
