The goal of the committee is to prevent the reelection of Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential electionand defeat his supporters in the United States Senate.[1] In April 2020, the committee announced their endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.[2]This group of Republicans believe that if they’d just convince 4% of the Republicans to switch side, they would have succeeded in their goal in defeating Donald Trump.

President Trump is planning to quickly nominate a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, reversing the stance Republicans took in 2016 when a seat opened up in an election year.
