Any event ever hosted by Elon Musk/Tesla has always been charged with electric enthusiasm, full of anticipation for what’s in store for our future, as though Elon Musk is the ultimate magician of 21st century, knowing exactly what we earthlings need and want.Due to COVID-19, audience of Tesla Battery Day were all sitting in their respective cars, honking as they became excited about the future of Tesla and sustainable energy.
Elon Musk, forever on his quest in saving our planet by helping to accelerate our transition toward the sustainable energy. On Tesla Battery Day, he reminds us that wind and solar now comprise 75% of new electricity capacity in the U.S. this year and power production from coal has dropped 50% during past ten years. Tesla’s contribution to the acceleration toward sustainable energy, below:
Tesla delivered more than 1 million electric vehicles.
More than 26 billion miles were driven in Tesla electric vehicles.
5 GWh (gigawatt hour) of stationary batteries.
17TWh (terawatt hour) of solar power generated.
Musk stated that:
Solar will be a massive part of the Tesla’s future.
Three parts of the sustainable energy future: energy generation, energy storage, and electric vehicles.
To achieve the transition to sustainable energy, we must produce more affordable EVs and energy storage, while building factories faster and with far less investment.
Goal Two: More Affordable Cells/Cars. Problem: EV market share is growing but EVs still aren’t accessible to all yet.

Elon Musk reinvents Battery Cell, creating the all-new Battery Design within Tesla Battery, presented on Tesla Battery day, September 22, 2020. There are a lot of features. Elon declared Tesla’s wishes to increase production of Cybertruck, Roadster and Semi in a long-term perspective. Current high-volume production of these and other cars will not be seriously affected until 2022. Electric cars and solar panels seem like a match made in heaven: free, clean power as long as the sun shines. A self reliant, solar car that’s not dependent on the power grid could recharge sustainably from anywhere you dare to venture.
