Officials in North Carolina are scrambling to counteract President Donald Trump’s call for residents of the state to attempt to vote twice in the upcoming contest for the White House, issuing a notice on Thursday warning voters that doing so intentionally is a felony, in the video “President Donald Trump encourages North Carolina voters to vote twice“, below:
President Trump and his administration are continuing to cast doubt on mail-in voting two months ahead of the election. Speaking to his supporters in North Carolina, President Trump encouraged them to test the system and illegally vote by mail and in person, a potential felony. Ben Tracy reports, in the video “President Trump suggests supporter illegally vote twice to test mail-in vs in-person“, below:
North Carolina’s top elections official warned voters against trying to vote twice after President Donald Trump encouraged people who mail in their ballots for November’s election to also go to the polls on Election Day, in the video “McEnany Says Trump Didn’t Encourage People to Vote Twice“, below:
According to Karen Brinson Bell, the executive director of North Carolina State Board of Elections, “Attempting to vote twice in an election or soliciting someone to do so also is a violation of North Carolina law, as a “Class I felony” for a voter “with intent to commit a fraud to register or vote at more than one precinct or more than one time… in the same primary or election.”If some voters will vote twice, then President Trump essentially would have committed a felony in states where inciting voters to vote twice is considered an act of felony. If any North Carolina voter will be voting twice, then both the voter and President Trump would have committed Class I felony.Gathered, written, and posted by Windermere Sun-Susan Sun Nunamaker More about the community at www.WindermereSun.comAny comments, suggestions, concerns regarding this post will be welcomed at [email protected]
I am a mother/wife/daughter, math professor, solar advocate, world traveler, yogi, artist, photographer, sharer of knowledge/information, and resident of Windermere, FL. I've worked professionally in applied math, engineering, medical research, and as a university math professor in IL and FL for about 20 years. My husband and I loved Disney and moved down to Central Florida initially as snowbirds. But we've come to love the warmth and friendly people offered by this community and decided to move down to Windermere, FL full time in 2006. I am now spending time sharing information/ knowledge online, promoting understanding of math and solar energy (via http://www.sunisthefuture.net ), and developing Windermere Sun (http://www.WindermereSun.com) as an online publication, sharing and promoting Community ABC's (Activities-Businesses-Collaborations) for healthier/happier/more sustainable living. In the following posts, I'll be sharing with you some of the reasons why Windermere has attracted us to become full-time residents of Central Florida region.
