This is a critical time in the American history, when the American people distrust that of the left or the right, and such distrust is further intensified by their fear of COVID-19, dramatic increase of future unemployment rate resulting from automation-robotics-A.I., destabilizing autonomous zone in Seattle and New York City, and worry toward the uncertain economic future. Americans realize that it is time for effective and non-partisan leadership. Is it possible that American people is ready for a new format for federal governance, aiming to replace cynicism and partisanship with compromise and cooperation? Is the American general public ready for Unity 2020?
Bret Weinstein, an American biologist and evolutionary theorist and a biology professor at Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, who came to national attention during the 2017 Evergreen State College protests. He is considered a member of the informal group of pundits known as the Intellectual Dark Web, with focused attention in solving problems plaguing America.
Bret Weinstein has recently proposed Unity 2020 on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast (at the end of this post), calling for the American public to draft two candidates to lead the executive branch: one from the center-left and one from the center-right. Weinstein suggested an independent ticket for the 2020 presidential election: Andrew Yang and former U.S. Navy Admiral William McRaven (who oversaw the special operations raid that killed Osama Bin Laden). Once elected, they would agree to govern as a team and all decisions and appointments would be made jointly in the interests of the American public. Only when they cannot reach agreement, or when a decision does not allow for consultation, does the President decide independently. A coin flip determines which candidate runs at the top of the ticket. After four years in office, the order reverses for the next election. This continues until the American public chooses an alternative administration or one of the members of the team cannot run for re-election, at which point a new patriot would replace him/her. Each candidate must possess three qualities:
- He/She must be patriotic
- He/She must be highly capable
- He/She must be courageous

*Be sure to let your friends and family know about Unity 2020, especially if they live in: Indiana, Maine, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, and Texas because Andrew Yang-William McRaven would have to be write-in candidates for voters in these states. Critical time calls for critical measures. If you want to see our nation united under competent and responsive leadership, then do your part to ensure its success! And if/when it succeeds, it would mean that our executive branch is truly an office selected by The People, for these two people would literally have been drafted by The People.
