Florida’s Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings announced that a curfew will be in effect from Sunday night, May 31, 2020, from 10:00 pm until 5:00 am. , June 1, 2020, Monday, until further notice after a night of protests in Orlando, Florida. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer also said the curfew will also be in place for the city of Orlando. The curfew is instituted after protesters blocked part of State Road 408 and then gathered in front of the Orlando Police Department on Saturday night, May 30, 2020. Some of the demonstrators threw rocks, bottles, and concrete at the law enforcement during the protests, and tear gas was used to disperse some of the crowds on State Road 408.
