Alexander Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council who testified during the House impeachment inquiry, was “escorted out of the White House” on Friday afternoon, his lawyer said. Vindman’s brother, who was working for the NSC as an attorney, was also removed. Long list of names (Kurt Volker, Fiona Hill, Tim Morrison, Rick Perry, John Bolton, Marie Yovanovitch, William Taylor, Jennifer Williams, Alexander Vindman, Yevgeny Vindman, Gordon Sondland, etc.) have either left or been removed from their jobs as a result of the Trump impeachment trial. Alexander Semyon Vindman, a United States Army lieutenant colonel who was the Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council (NSC) until he was dismissed on February 7, 2020. Vindman came to national attention in October 2019 when he testified before the United States Congress regarding the Trump–Ukraine scandal. Commissioned in 1999 as an infantry officer, Vindman received a Purple Heart medal for wounds he received from an IED attack in the Iraq War in 2004. Vindman became a foreign area officer specializing in Eurasia in 2008, and assumed the position of Director for European Affairs with the NSC in 2018.
Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, the top Ukraine expert at the National Security Council, was pushed out of his role months earlier than expected, according to a statement from his attorney.
Vindman, a decorated veteran who was born in Ukraine, was escorted out of the White House by security and told his services were no longer needed, according to Vindman’s lawyer, David Pressman. His twin brother Lt. Col.
