President Donald Trump returned to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, touting sustained growth in the American economy as well as his his recent trade agreements with Mexico and Canada, and China. On Wednesday, January 22, 2020, President Trump also commented that he is considering looking into making changes for entitlement programs (such as Social Security and Medicare) later this year, at the very end of an interview (17:55) conducted by Joe Kernan of CNBC, in connection with Trump’s appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in the video “Watch the full CNBC interview with U.S. President Donald Trump from Davos“, below:
Soon after President Trump’s interview at Davos above, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) holds a news conference ahead of opening arguments for the second day in President Trump’s impeachment trial in the Senate. House managers, led by Rep. Adam B. Schiff (D-Calif.), will present three days of opening arguments.
