For those of you interested in giving or receiving help in time of need, you may be interested in finding out about Faith Neighborhood Center (14727 Timber Village Road, Groveland, FL 34735, Phone: 352-429-1200, email: info.faithneighborhoodcenter.com). The Faith Neighborhood Center (FNC) was founded in 1972 and has grown to over 100 active volunteers. These dedicated volunteers had allowed the FNC to lower the costs of running the center. The center, through Second Harvest, USDA, and various other agencies and partners, can generally purchase food at a lower cost. The Faith Neighborhood Center provides support to lower income families and individuals in South Lake County-Mascotte, Groveland, Clermont, Minneola, Montverde, and points in between and South of the county line by offering:
- Food
- Medical support in conjunction with the South Lake Community Health Center
- Educational/Training opportunities
- Assistance in applying for food stamps, Medicaid, and Emergency Assistance
Faith Neighborhood Center Operating Hours are listed below:

- Tuesday- 9:00 am to noon
- Wednesday-9:00 am to noon
- Thursday-1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Friday-9:00 am to noon
- newly added hours- first and third Thursday of each month- 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
New clients are able to register and qualify for free food.
