Between now and January 12, 2020, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm (final entry at 9:15 pm), Wednesday through Sunday, Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens (3755 W. Seminole Blvd., Sanford) is presenting the first-ever Asian Lantern Festival: Into the Wild, celebrating the culture, art, and beauty of the traditional lantern festivals throughout Asia for centuries. Since December of 2019, the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens has been transformed into a dazzling experience featuring 35 larger-than-life illuminated sculptures depicting animals, plants, and traditional Chinese elements.
At the entrance of the zoo, guests would be greeted by water-spitting dinosaur and continued to be amazed by the immersive experience of vibrant larger-than-life moons and flowers. Along the 3/4 mile festival path, there are 10,000 LED lights on the hand-crafted lanterns. At this Asian Lantern Festival, one may also enjoy variety of local food and beverage options, live music, and authentic artisan crafts. So bring your friends and family and enjoy a fun night at the Asian Lantern Festival.
General Admission tickets are $18.50 per person, and a special four-pack of tickets at $50. Zoo Annual Pass Holders would receive a discounted price at $15.50 per person.
