Consider An Alternative Way To Repurpose Your Live Christmas Trees

Dear Friends & Neighbors,

(Please click on red links & note magenta)
Now that the holiday season is over, if you have taken down all of your Christmas tree ornaments and yet still have your live Christmas tree, you may want to consider an alternative way of disposing of your tree besides burning it or moving it to the curbside to be picked up. A Winter Garden nonprofit will use your Christmas tree and make it into canes for veterans. Officials of Matthew’s Hope posted to Facebook, “If you are looking to dispose of your real Christmas tree, Matthew’s Hope is collecting trees for Canes for Veterans. Oscar created canes from the trees and our Veterans receive them for free. Please consider dropping it off at our Matthew’s Hope Firm Foundation Preschool & Daycare.”
If interested in having your live Christmas tree to be repurposed as canes for the veterans, you can drop off your retired Christmas tree on the side of the building against the fence at 740 9th St., in Winter Garden, FL.
