According to the CDC report, more than 5 million high school and junior high school students are using vaping devices these days. Congress raised the permissible age to use these devices to 21 last month and is now taking additional steps to make using vaping device even less appealing. Under the new ban, fruit, mint and sweet, and other flavored cartridges and other flavored cartridges will be prohibited, while tobacco and menthol flavored cartridges will still be allowed. According to CDC, more than 2,561 cases of illnesses or deaths related to vaping were reported last year, with 55 deaths being confirmed so far. The ban will take effect in 30 days.
