On Elon Musk’s journey toward reaching CO2 target by reducing carbon emission via electrical vehicles, Musk announced that Tesla will be building its European Gigafactory in Germany, near Berlin, on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the “Das Goldene Lenkrad” Awards, in the video “Elon Musk announces GF4 will be in Berlin, Germany!“, below:
Tesla Model 3 won the midsize premium category, obtaining more points than any car in any other category. Elon took the opportunity to announce the GF4 would be in the “Berlin Area” and also announced a planned R&D center, obviously taking advantage of the German Engineers who are presumably watching.
This will be the Gigafactory 4 and is expected to come online in 2021, building cars as well as batteries. In the video below, Volkswagen CEO Herbert Diess praises Elon Musk.
