Thursday, October 31, 2019, a sweet day for residents of Windermere to remember, for young as well as for those not so young. At 4:00 pm, hubby and I checked and switched non-functional bulbs of our pumpkin lights, making sure that neighborhood children and teens will have sufficient lighting source for Trick-N-Treating to our house. This year even Halloween is affected by climate change: trick-n-treaters are showing up much later, starting around 7:00 pm (rather than the usual 5:00 pm), due to the warm temperature in the 90’s during the day. Nevertheless, the youthful energy and enthusiasm brought much interesting costume designs to our door. Teens tend to arrive in groups, while younger children are escorted by their older siblings or parents. Some photos of these costumes are posted above. In the short 2 hours between 7:00 and 9:00 pm, these lively youths paused our concerns for impeachment inquiry or future direction of the nation and reminded us the truly important aspect of our humanity, to be able to laugh and create with our future generations.
Of course Halloween would not be complete without mentioning candies, so please allow Windermere Sun to share some of the videos on Halloween candies, in the videos:
