In an abrupt reversal Saturday night, President Donald Trump tweeted that his Doral golf resort would not be used for next year’s G7 summit after the President fielded backlash from critics this week, in the video “Trump Reverses Decision On G7 Summit At Doral“, below:

The Trump National Doral in Miami, which was chosen as the site of the next G-7 summit, is at the center of a national furor. “So is he a cornered rat that is going to grab all of the cash he can before he jumps ship?” Joy Behar asked on “The View” Friday. The Doral has 643 rooms in a cluster of bungalows and a world-class golf course called “The Blue Monster.” It has an occupancy rate of just 53% and revenue dropped from $125 million in 2016 to $75 million last year, according to CNBC, in the video “Inside the Trump National Doral Hotel, Site of G-7 Summit“, below:
Mick Mulvaney held a briefing Thursday in which he acknowledged President Trump withheld nearly $400 million in military aid from Ukraine as he demanded Ukraine investigate Democrats. He triggered even more controversy when he announced the G7 Summit, an important gathering of world leaders, will be held next June at the Doral resort near Miami, owned by the president.
