On Monday, July 29, 2019, President Donald Trump signed a bill to care for the surviving first responders of 9/11 attacks and their families. The legislation reauthorized last week made the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund permanent.
Last week, nearly 18 years after 9/11 attack, the Senate passed a bill guaranteeing financial support to the families of first responders. Chip Reid reports, in the video “Senate passes 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund bill“, below:
This bipartisan bill, which already passed in the House, signed by President Trump.
