This year, the National Unity Conference was held between July 4-July 8, 2019, at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center of Orlando, Florida, with more than 2,000 attendees. It was packed with keynote speakers, dozens of workshops, UNITY Wellness Warriors activities, as well as UNITY’s signature highlights including the UNITY Fire, UNITY College & Career expo, with more than 60 exhibitors and vendors, cultural night, talent show, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, the annual UNITY banquet, and more.

During the National Unity Conference the UNITY fire was used for social and prayer purposes and provided conference attendees an opportunity for support, healing, and spiritual nourishment over the years. The fire was meant for all beliefs and religions to share their “Good Medicine” with other participants; it belonged to every one. Good Medicine may be: singing a song, praying, reading scriptures, storytelling, wellness teachings or even traditional hand games. The conference made sure that the UNITY fire was open for all denominations to openly share their beliefs and prayers with other conference participants in a safe learning environment. Good Medicine focused on the good, aligning with UNITY’s mission to inspire hope, to focus on health and well-being, to promote positivity. The National UNITY Conference was a place where Native youtube voice is encouraged and valued. Warren Skye, Tonawanda Seneca Pine Tree Chief said, “A fire burns within us and has so since the beginning of time. We must continue to strengthen it and keep it bright for generations to come.”
Among all of the attendees, some came from as far as Asia, such as Taiwan, arriving in Orlando International Airport for the event of National Unity Conference during first week of July in Orlando.
