Just received a message from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, in italics, shared below:
Join the FWC at Exotic Pet Amnesty Day on June 1 at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, to help pet owners find new homes for their exotic pets. Animals are surrendered in the morning and adopted to our pre-approved adopters in the afternoon.
Volunteers should meet at the main zoo entrance at 7:40 a.m. and plan to work until 2:00 p.m. Volunteers that can stay and help with the adoption portion of the event can work as late as 5:00 p.m. The event is outdoors so volunteers should dress accordingly and bring food and plenty of water. Note: entrance to the zoo is not required or included.
