On the evening of April 9, 2019, a group of Windermere townspeople, headed by Anne Scharer McDonough, presented LT Sipek, a senior in high school who plays the tuba, with a 4 year scholarship for the arts. LT’s mom Lori Sipek is a police officer with the Town of Windermere’s police department and often works over time during events in the town. Windermere Police Department Foundation also matched the scholarship! The new Windermere town mayor, Jim O’Brien is also present during this scholarship award ceremony at Town Hall Windermere Town Council meeting. It is great to see businesses and police department of Windermere collaboratively supporting our young local artist/musician in the beautiful town of Windermere.
Anne Scharer McDonough is the owner of Tranquiliti Wellness Center and organizer of Windermere Art Affair and Windermere’s “Art, Wine, & Music Stroll”events at Downtown Windermere, FL.
