Looking for opportunities to volunteer, be in outdoor, surrounded by greens and friendly faces, and be of service to the community? Here is what you’ve been looking for! Every Friday morning, between 9:15 am to 12:15 pm, there will be free community event at South Street Urban Farm, 626 W. South Street, Orlando, FL 32805-2732. The South Street Urban Farm invites you to come out to the 1/4 acre urban farm plot in West Orlando. Regardless if you are a novice or an expert, young or old, you are welcomed to join in the effort of growing fresh, organic, and delicious food. It’s a great volunteer opportunity for school service hours. Be sure to bring your own water, sunscreen, and wear close-toed shoes. There is no restroom or water fountain on site, so please stop by the HQ of Fleet Farming at 1030 W. Kaley Street Street (just 5 minutes away), Orlando, beforehand if you need.
