For those of you who have been thinking of getting a Tesla or an electric vehicle, be sure you realize that there are still five more days for Tesla tax credit. After Dec. 31, a $7,500 tax credit on Tesla’s all-electric vehicles will start shrinking. Next year, Tesla buyers can still apply for a tax credit, but it will only be half of the $7,500 awarded this year. The credit drops to again to $1,875 in the second half of 2019. Tesla is able to reach the threshold of 200,000 electric vehicles sold in July, triggering the phase-out period of the tax credit. Any Model S, Model X, and Model 3 vehicles delivered on or before Dec. 31 will be able to receive the original tax incentive. Other electric car companies will continue to offer the full tax credit into 2019 until they hit the cap. White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said the subsidies for electric vehicles from Tesla and other carmakers would end in 2020 or 2021.
We now have official guidance from Tesla on the tax credit situation. In this video, there is break down on how it works for you. Don’t miss these updates, join Tesla community of Tesla fans at https://teslanomics.co/join in the video “Official Word on Tesla Tax Credit“, below:
