Dear Friends & Neighbors,

Thus far, 1.26 million Floridians have voted early and 1.8 million have voted by mail. Overall, 1.29 million Republicans and 1.23 Democrats have voted. On Wednesday morning, Oct. 31, 2018, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders motivated students and rallygoers at the CFE Arena of University of Central Florida for the second time this year to vote for Andrew Gillum, the Democratic candidate for governor, on November 6, 2018. Andrew Gillum is a progressive gubernatorial candidate who is in favor of expanding medicaid to cover 700,000 people (who right now don’t have access to health care) under the Affordable Care Act, public education fund via higher corporate tax, $15 minimum wage, multi-state-based climate alliance to slow down climate change, promoting the use of solar or renewable energy, and restoring voting rights. Sanders even led a march of students to the school’s early voting site at the Live Oaks Event Center. Gillum’s running mate Chris King of Winter Park introduced Senator Sanders and took some shots at President Trump and the GOP gubernatorial candidate Ron DeSantis. King attacked DeSantis’ position on environment and pre-existing conditions of healthcare. Below, videos covering Senator Bernie Sanders at UCF:
