Strangers On Facebook Helped South Carolina Woman & Her Dogs Out of the Storm

During time of storms, ray of hope for human kindness still shined through….
A South Carolina woman, Christine Meinhold, who was planning on riding out Hurricane Florence because she didn’t want to evacuate without her seven rescue dogs. After CNN reported about her dilemma on Wednesday, strangers reached out on Facebook and created a crowdfunding campaign to rent Ms. Meinhold a truck/van so she could reach her family in Tennessee.
The Palm Springs based radio host Kate Zenna, the crowdfunding campaign organizer said she started the crowdfunding campaign because she wasn’t able to let all those dogs perish. According to Kate Zenna, about 16 people across the nation coordinated on Facebook chat and donated to help MEinhold to evacuate with her dogs.
