Just want to quickly share a terrific web site with videos, “What I Learned About America as I Ate (and Biked) Across It“, with many wonderfully healthy and simple recipes by Andrew Chang, a Yahoo editor, who biked 4,200 miles from New Jersey to San Francisco in 62 days back in 2015. Andrew stopped at 64 restaurants and 49 gas stations as he biked across 12 states. Along his journey, he replenished his body and energy with delicious and genuine regional foods. Check out the 8 amazing regional foods he found along the way, from Red Beet Eggs in Pennsylvania to Illinois’s Fried Frog Legs, Kentucky’s Hot Brown, Kansas’ Bierock, bun filled with cabbage, cheese, and sausage, The Freeze of Kansas (made with lime sherbet and Sprite), Navajo Taco of Utah, Acai Bowl of California, and much much more….I also learned from Andrew that you don’t need an oven to make a pizza (check out the “How to Make Stovetop Pizza” below).
What I particular liked about these recipes: they come with upbeat music, instructions in bold print, and simple recipes that are easy to follow while making some appetizing and healthy dishes that would revitalize our body. I’m sure it took a lot of energy to paddle across 4,200 miles. Way to go, Andrew! Thank you for sharing! Let’s all bike and cook for a healthier future!
