In addition to much practices nation-wide regarding various sustainability issues, let’s not forget some of the local efforts in trying to boost our awareness and practices in sustainable living. Below, Supervisor Daily Morales explained to Florida National News about several joint venture projects between Orange County School Board, Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District, and St. John River Water Management District, in educating the community via school system about sustainability. Supervisor Morales and the board are currently working on further educating and promoting quality of life for the community by encouraging social and economic development in projects or issues associated with environmental improvement, recycling, sustainability, and transportation. So, if you have any issue or suggestion for improvement of Orange County’s use of solar energy, water and land, be sure to get in touch with Daisy Morales, either via SupervisorDaisyMorales@gmail.com or click HERE.
