5K@ADA Orlando on Sunday, 6/24, For Healthier Lifestyle

Just received a message from 5K Run/Walk to Change Diabetes, 5K@ADA Orlando, announcing that the 5K@ADA course will be entirely on the property of the Orange County Convention Center this year. The event will take place on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Orange County Convention Center West Building Hall E/F Entrance. Registration opens at 5:00 am, FREE. Starting time: 6:30 am. Distance of the Run/Walk is 5 kilometers run or walk (3.1 miles). Parking is available at the Orange County Convention Center. Over 1,000 residents of Orlando and ADA Scientific Sessions attendees have already registered.

The purpose of this event is to raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing and controlling diabetes.

Through Novo Nordisk’s continued support of the American Diabetes Association, the 5K@ADA in Orlando will be free of charge to Central Florida citizens and registered 78th Scientific Sessions attendees.

The 5K@ADA brings together citizens of Orlando and ADA Scientific Sessions attendees to emphasize the need for increased physical activity to help prevent diabetes and diabetes complications. This activity gives you the opportunity to raise public awareness about the importance of a healthy lifestyle in preventing diabetes.
We are excited to return to Orlando for the American Diabetes Association 78th Scientific Sessions for the first time since 2010. The 5K@ADA welcomed over 730 participants that year. Visit the links below to view photos and video from the 2010 5K@ADA.
