During May 4, 2018, an earthquake that led to dangerous volcanic activity on the big island of Hawaii, Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano, below:
After over two and half weeks of volcanic activities, Hawaiian residents living near Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano now have to worry about toxic air, magma, and lava bombs. The exploding volcano is sending large balls of searing lava into the sky. No telling where these lava bombs would land. According to the Hawaii County Civil Defense Administrator Talmadge Magno, a man sitting on his porch was hit in the leg and seriously injured by a lava bomb over the weekend. Governor of Hawaii David Ige has signed an emergency proclamation to reassess the tax value of property damage by the volcanic eruption. As the lava continues to spew from the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s big island, with lava crossing the Highway 137 and entered the Pacific Ocean, the proclamation is desperately needed.
